History
A history of art, craft & project education inside Taunton goes back to 1856 & a foundation of the art school in the wake up of the 1851 Great Exhibition. This went in to turn into a Somerset College of Art. Around 1898 a foundation stone of the Technical indicator Institute was placed & around February 1900 the Institute was formally opened.
